Zagster Bike Share

Zagster Bike Share Rentals Suspended: COVID-19

The Zagster Bike Share company has suspended all rentals of its bikes at HSU, in Arcata, and elsewhere until further notice. This step has been taken to prioritize the safety of riders and maintenance staff during the COVID-19 outbreak. Although you may still see bikes at the Harry Griffith Hall and JGC Zagster stations, the bikes have been disabled.

To learn more about this pause in service and your Zagster membership, go to the Zagster FAQ page.

Bike share is a convenient, cheap and fun transportation option for getting around campus and town. Leave your car at home and use a Zagster bike for your short trips. With Zagster bike share, there are no hassles with parking!

HSU’s Zagster bike stations are located at Harry Griffith Hall and Jolly Giant Commons. Bikes are reserved with the Zagster app and can be returned to any station, including the four stations planned for downtown Arcata. Bikes come with a basket and built-in lock that allows riders to secure bikes mid-trip.

Annual membership for HSU students, faculty and staff is $20. This option gives you the first hour for FREE each time you reserve a bike and only costs $2 per additional hour. You can also sign up as an hourly member and pay $2 per hour, up to $30 per ride.
